Brian Blasing (Wisconsin Department of Corrections)
OCONTO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Brian Blasing was sentenced Wednesday to 12 years in prison for providing the drugs used in an overdose death. It’s the second time he’s been sentenced on such a charge.
Blasing, 35, previously pleaded guilty to first-degree reckless homicide-delivery of drugs for a Sept. 12, 2018, incident which resulted in the death of Jeffrey Pecha.
He was also placed on extended supervision for eight years by Judge Michael Judge, court records show.
According to the criminal complaint, police found Pecha laying on a sidewalk. He later died.
Police reviewed phone records, showing Pecha arranging a heroin and meth buy from Blasing. “Based upon the best information available, it is believed that Pecha died within approximately 30 minutes” of meeting for the drugs, the complaint states.
Chastity Denny was sentenced to three years in prison for her role in the case.
In 2021, Blasing was sentenced to 19 years in prison for the February 2019 death of Terry Westphal in Pound.
