(WTAQ-WLUK) — A Kaukauna woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly driving recklessly while drunk.
Just before 3 p.m., a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper conducted a traffic stop on I-41 southbound at State Highway 76 in Winnebago County. The trooper observed a vehicle tailgating another car, then passing that car and accelerating to speeds over 95 miles per hour. Additionally, the vehicle had no registration displayed.
When the trooper made contact with the driver, signs of impairment were observed. Cassidy Bybee, 40, of Kaukauna, was arrested for her fourth offense of operating while intoxicated and given traffic citations for speeding and tailgating. A search warrant was obtained and an evidentiary blood draw was completed. Its results are still pending.
Bybee is being held at the Winnebago County Jail.
