(LEARFIELD) – Milwaukee Brewers closer Abner Uribe gave up a three-run homer in the ninth inning, leading to a 3-1 loss Wednesday night.
Jacob Misiorowski and Aaron Ashby had shut out the San Diego Padres through eight innings.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that it was a tough loss.
Murphy talked about Uribe’s ninth inning against the Padres.
Misiorowski was lighting up radar guns again, throwing 49 pitches in excess of 100 mph.
Misiorowski said that he experienced another cramp before the eighth inning.
He said that everything clicked in the middle innings.
Misiorowski talked overall about his outing.
Brice Turang drove in Milwaukee’s only run in the bottom of the fifth.
Uribe took the loss after giving up Gavin Sheet’s sixth home run of the season.
Luis Rengifo had 3 hits for Milwaukee while Sal Frelick had 2.
Lefty Kyle Harrison starts the rubber game of the three-game set this afternoon. Harrison is 3-1 with a 2.41 ERA
The Padres will counter with Griffin Canning who is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA.
