(247NEWSSOURCE/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers wrapped up their homestand on a high note.
Milwaukee beat the San Diego Padres 7-1 in the rubber match of their series.
Luis Rengifo went two-for-four with three RBIs, while Andrew Vaughn had two hits of his own and drove in a pair of runs.
Rengifo talked about the offense doing well.
He said that he’s starting to feel comfortable at the plate.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that Rengifo and Vaughn were the key.
Kyle Harrison struck out seven batters over five shutout innings to earn the win.
Harrison talked about the key part to the game.
Harrison also said what he’s learned about the Brewers, 1/4 of the way through the season.
He reflected on the 5-1 homestand vs. the Yankees and Padres.
The Brewers will hit the road tonight to take on the Minnesota Twins.
