(LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers lost for just the second time in the last 10 games when they dropped a 5-4 decision to Minnesota Sunday.
The Twins built a 3-1 lead early, but solo homers from Christian Yelich and Garrett Mitchell tied it.
Reliever Grant Anderson gave up the tie-breaking home run in the fifth and wound up taking the loss.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about the loss to the Twins Sunday.
Murphy said that he was disappointed in starter Robert Gasser who allowed 3 runs in 4 innings.
Murphy said that offensively the team came up short.
He added that they didn’t play good defense, either
Murphy said that defensive mistakes cost them.
Yelich was in the Milwaukee lineup for the first time in five days. Brandon Sproat takes the mound tonight in Chicago for a game against the Cubs.
