GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay Packers have once again seen an increase in revenue.
The NFL’s only publicly owned franchise made the announcement this afternoon during its annual financial meeting at Lambeau Field.
The Packers organization saw a 4.7% increase in total revenue from last year and a more than 50% profit.
President and CEO Ed Policy said everything from local sales to national TV contracts helped boost the team’s profits.
The Packers’ total revenue during fiscal year 2026 was $753 million.
The fiscal year ran from April 2025 to March 2026.
In that time, the team’s total profit was $132.5 million– which is a 54.8% increase from fiscal year 2025.
However, the Packers did see a loss of $1.1 million in its day-to-day operations due to an increase in player costs.
“I feel very good about where the Packers are financially and economically in the short term and in the medium term. In the long term, I feel good. But I do think that there are some trends we’re recognizing in the NFL and we talked about some of those that I think can pose a threat to our long-term financial health,” Policy said.
Policy says it’s becoming harder for the Packers to compete with other teams who are owned by billionaires and can sell a portion of their private equity. Because of this, the team will be more aggressive in generating revenue going forward.
This means focusing on more non-Packers events like concerts, college football games and possibly selling naming rights.
“So we did rename the Titletown Field Emplify Health Field recently. But we would also look at other, you know, very significant components of our campus including potentially looking at our practice facility,” Policy said.
However, Policy said Lambeau Field’s name would not be changing.
The Packers also saw increases in national and local revenues. Nationally, the team took in $20.6 million more than in 2025. This is credited to growth in national TV deals and streaming.
This comes as the Packers are pushing back against efforts to change the Sports Broadcasting Act, saying it helps keep small-market teams like Green Bay financially competitive.
Locally, the Packers brought in $299.8 million– a 4.7% jump from last year.
“I think that’s the biggest factor there is, quite frankly, just all the hard work that the people in this building put in throughout the year, whether it’s selling tickets, selling t-shirts, selling hot dogs,” Policy said.
The Packers biggest increase was from its non-operating revenue, which brought in $133.6 million. This is largely because the NFL sold NFL Network to ESPN. In return, the NFL received an equity stake — which the Packers received a share of.
Policy said this all adds up to being able to field a championship-caliber team.
