WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Desiree Osman pleaded not guilty Wednesday to allegedly providing a fatal dose of heroin and then disposing of the victim’s body.
Osman, 31, was charged in February with first-degree reckless homicide, delivery of heroin, and hiding a corpse in connection with the March 2020 death of Jon Morgan. His body has yet to be found.
No trial date was set. A next court date was not immediately set, according to court records.
Morgan, 22, was last seen March 6, 2020, and reported missing two days later. According to the criminal complaint, Osman was interviewed several times by police. She admitted she purchased heroin in Milwaukee, and then she and Morgan smoked it later that day.
“In Desiree’s interview on 8/18/2020, she admitted to being the last person to see Jon alive,” the complaint states. “Desiree is told during an interview that she has knowledge of what happened but is scared and does not know what to do, to which she responds ‘yeah’. Shortly later Desiree said ‘he’s dead’.”
While there were multiple searches for Morgan’s body, none have been successful. Morgan was last seen alive at a home in King, off of County Highway QQ.
“Investigators believe that Jon’s body was moved from Desiree’s residence and placed somewhere. His body, as of the date of this filing, has not been located despite exhaustive efforts,” the complaint states.
