MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Marinette County is asking the public what it thinks the future of the former UW-Green Bay Marinette campus should be.
Most UWGB operations at the campus ended two years ago. A study committee has been examining options for the facilities there.
“This survey is intended to gather public opinions, ideas, and priorities regarding the future use of property. Whether you live, work, own a business, or have another connection to the area, your input is valuable. Community feedback will help the Committee better understand local needs, identify redevelopment opportunities, and inform recommendations for the site’s long-term future,” the questionnaire states.
Among the questions on the survey:
- To what extent do you support preserving and repurposing existing campus buildings versus redevelopment with new construction?
- When you think about the future of the former UWGB Marinette campus, what outcomes are most important to you?
- What concerns do you have about redevelopment?
- Which of the following future uses would you like to see included in the redevelopment of the former UWGB Marinette Campus?
- How important is it that the property remains accessible for public or community use?

The survey will remain open until Sept. 14.
