(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers are just 2 days away from facing the New York Jets in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked about when it comes to the pass rush whether it’s from the Packers or the Jets, pressure up the middle makes life tough on quarterbacks.
One thing that will make things interesting for the Packers defense, according to LaFleur, is that the Jets like to use multiple tight ends.
LaFleur discussed if the Packers are going toe be week to week with offensive lineman Aaron Banks.
LaFleur talked about Trey Smack who will have to deal with sometimes swirling winds in the Meadowlands Stadium booting a 59 yard field goal in week 1.
As far as the running game goes, LaFleur thinks Marshawn Lloyd did a good job in his first start.
LaFleur talked about Jets edge rusher and former Packers player Kingsley Engabare and the effect he could have on the game.
Behind center: Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love got hit 18 times by the Minnesota Vikings defense this past Sunday.
Despite that, Love said that he’s staying positive.
Love talked about what keeps his faith with the current offensive line.
Love did say that the team has to improve its red zone efficiency.
Love talked about what can they expect from Christian Watson if he stays healthy this year.
As for the Minnesota Vikings, Love said that they are putting week 1 behind them.
Now on to this Sunday, Love talked about attacking the Jets defense.
Love said that hasn’t lost any confidence in the Packers offensive line.
Thursday’s injury report: Thursday’s injury report showed the following Packers players with limited participation – Zach Bako-Bewele, Aaron Banks, Ty’Ron Harper, Barryn Sorrell, Lukas Van Ness and Devonte Wyatt. Warren Brinson and Javon Hargrave did not participate.
For the Jets, Omar Cooper Jr., Minkah Fitzpatrick, Kene Nwangwu and Joseph Ossai did not participate.
