DE PERE – St. Norbert College earned a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran College thanks to a late goal in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (3-5-1, 2-1 NACC) were even with the Warriors until Lexi Fredenhagen (pictured) capitalized on a loose ball with less than ten minutes remaining.
It was a busy night for sophomore goalkeeper Leah Hess, who made several important saves late in the second half before the Green Knights took the lead, including a double save.
The Green Knights nearly took a one-goal lead into halftime, with Gracie Adrian’s shot being saved following a corner. Shelby Busch also troubled Wisconsin Lutheran’s Sam Schroeder, nearly converting a shot from 30 yards away. A cross from Busch led Fredenhagen slotting away her goal following a loose ball from Schroeder’s grasp.
The Green Knights were outshot 11-10. Schroeder made four saves for the Warriors. Hess kept her fourth clean sheet for the Green Knights.

St. Norbert 1, Wisconsin Lutheran College 1
WAUWATOSA – St. Norbert College fought to a 1-1 draw against Wisconsin Lutheran College in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Warriors Soccer Stadium.
The Green Knights (3-3-3, 1-1-1 NACC) trailed after 6:24 when the Warriors scored an early goal from Andrew King. Gabriel Mathisen made several stops in the first half, while Everett Saeger and Quinn Graham had St. Norbert’s best chances in the first half.
Sam Thompson (pictured) pulled the Green Knights level at 63:00, scoring his first goal of the season from a Saeger assist. Mathisen was asked to make two more stops with less than 15 minutes to go as the Green Knights held on to capture a point on the road.
St. Norbert was outshot 13-11. Mathisen made five saves for the Green Knights, while Morgan Determan had two stops for Wisconsin Lutheran.
