OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Police in Oshkosh executed a search warrant Friday as part of an investigation into an armed robbery involving firearms, taking two men into custody on Department of Corrections detainers and arresting a woman on outstanding warrants.
On Sept. 25, officers from the Oshkosh Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigation Division and SWAT Team searched a residence in the 1400 block of Oregon Street. Police said the warrant was tied to an investigation into an armed robbery incident involving firearms.
Two people related to the investigation were taken into custody. Police said a 24-year-old man was located in the 200 block of Ohio Street and taken into custody on a detainer from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole. A 27-year-old man was taken into custody at the Oshkosh Police Department on a detainer from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole.
Investigators also had contact with a 22-year-old woman who police said was unrelated to the incident. She was arrested for outstanding criminal traffic warrants.
Police said the Criminal Investigation Division “continues to work diligently to investigate this incident.”
“Violent crimes involving firearms pose a serious threat to the safety and well-being of our residents, neighborhoods, and businesses,” police said. “We will continue to use all available resources to identify and apprehend individuals involved in these offenses. Through continued partnership with our community, we remain dedicated to keeping Oshkosh safe.”
