MENASHA, WI (WTAQ) — Menasha High School has secured a spot as one of the Top 40 Division Finalists nationwide in the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights Competition.
As one of only 10 schools selected to represent the Midwest Division, the Menasha Bluejays are hoping to secure the top spot for the ultimate grand prize: a $1 million home field upgrade. Menasha is currently in 3rd place in the Midwest Division.
Winning this competition would provide an opportunity to rebuild the stadium and fix the field after the stadium was destroyed during a July 2026 tornado.
By being in the Top 40, Menasha High School has already won $25,000 for its football program. Additionally, there will be a T-Mobile-hosted home game celebration at their Senior Night & Homecoming Game on Friday, October 16, 2026.
Now, the competition is entering an intense division-by-division public voting phase. To reach the final grand prize round, Menasha must first win the Midwest Division. By winning the Midwest division, they will receive, $250,000, a state-of-the-art Gronk Fitness gym and advance as one of four national finalists.
The overall national winner will secure the $1 million grand prize from T-Mobile.
“What happened to Calder Stadium was devastating, but seeing how our town stepped up for each other after the storm showed us what being a Bluejay is really about,” said Menasha football coach Jeramie Korth. “Having our field back would mean everything to us; it’s not just where we play, it’s where our community unites.”
