MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Thirty-one thousand fans packed the Brewers’ watch party at American Family Field for World Series Game 3, where they found the food, beer and fun of a game — everything except the game itself. That was happening 1,300 miles away in Florida.
“It feels like a real game, you know, I mean everybody is into it like a real game,” said Adam Tredeau of Waukesha. “They have confetti after the game.”
It even has the public address announcer and at-bat music.
“It’s pure electricity,” said Luke Snodgrass of Menomonee Falls. “I mean everyone knows or understands the urgency of the moment. Everyone’s super dialed in.”
“It’s just an insane experience to be even alive for this experience,” added Bodie Duclon.
No game was played on the field, only on the scoreboard broadcast from 1,300 miles away.
But this game still had tailgaters, cold beer and a line a hundred deep for the team store.
“I bought the hat, I bought a shirt that says World Series on it and a banner,” said Michael Carrao from Pewaukee.
Many parents brought their kids. The tickets were only $15, about 100 times more affordable than an actual World Series ticket.
“To be with fans that share the same goal and the same passion, it’s just an incredible experience,” added Carrao.
The Brewers sold out watch parties for Games 3 and 4 in just 20 minutes, selling all the seats with a view of the scoreboard.
“I mean everyone’s excited for the Brewers to be in the World Series,” said Jeremy Justmann. “It’s been 44 years, and they want it bad.”
“I mean I just love the Brewers,” added Julia Czernink.
