HOW IT HAPPENED
Green Bay and Cincinnati spent the majority of the first half swapping the lead, before a Lovejoy layup gave GB a 20-19 lead. After, a Eric Mahaffey layup started a 10-2 run, giving Cincy a 29-22 lead. That lead remained intact for the hosts, as they stayed ahead at the break 40-32.
Green Bay cut it to six with a Lovejoy jumper with 17:21 to go, but that was as close as the Phoenix would get, as Cincinnati rattled off a 22-6 run to build a 67-46 lead. GB responded with a 7-0 run, finished off by Lovejoy’s jumper, to shrink the deficit to 67-53 with 4:01 to go in the contest. It was too little too late for GB, as the hosts closed it out 81-64.
